In 2013, I initiated a health campaign at Kennesaw State University to promote taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Inspired by the Boston Public Health Commission's 'Take the Stairs Campaign', my vision was to paint murals on the stairwell walls to enhance the appearance of the stairs and inspire curiosity that would prompt individuals to 'Step Up'. After pitching my idea to university officials and receiving approval, I secured a $1,350 grant to proceed with the project. I recruited 50+ volunteers and artists to help complete the murals in less than 48 hours. To increase campaign support, I created social media accounts to document the campaign's progress and to post relevant health related content. This experience defined my interest in marketing, and provided me with invaluable project management experience.
